There are literally hundreds of sites out there that will allow you to send text messages for free. With that being said, I have compiled the following condensed list of some of the best ones.

Text ‘Em – (http://www.textem.net) This is my favorite free text messaging site. If you create an account, you can both send and receive text message for free. You don’t need a real cell phone eve. Excellent.

811.com – (http://www.811.com/) Send texts and have a reply phone number for return texts. You can also send pictures, ringtones, audio, and video for free.

CBF SMS – (http://www.cbfsms.com/) Free texting for United Kingdom networks.

Text4Free – (http://www.text4free.net) Send free texts to almost anywhere in the world. You can send free texts to up to 10 numbers at once. Also, you can send MMS messages for free.

AnonText – (http://www.anontext.com) Send completely anonymous text messages to anyone. Sometimes it feels great to tell someone how you really feel, and on top of that, do it for free.
Peekamo – (http://www.peekamo.com) This site sends text messages, and neither the sender or recipient pay for the text. They do this through ads embedded in the text.
