other online auction sites - what are your alternatives?
In many instances there might be a reason you would want to take your business to other online auction venues besides eBay. This is most common when selling a specific type of item; there are hundreds of categories of items that are prohibited or restricted on eBay, or there may just be simply another venue that is more appropriate. Below are some of the few alternatives that remain.

Auction USA (http://www.auction-usa.com) - one of the best things about this site is the small level of restrictions that they place on the types of item you can sell. I have successfully listed and sold tobacco products on this site. The problem is that the service isn't 100% free, but you can get a one-month trial.

GunBroker (http://www.gunbroker.com) - since you can't see firearms and most firearm accessories, you may require an additional outlet. GunBroker is an amazing site for auctions of this sort, and they bring in a lot of traffic. There are no paperwork requirements for sellers generally, but buyers must posses a valid federal firearms license (FFL) or have their gun shipped to an authorized dealer.
